Hello Welcome to RC!
Just a heads up, when you type in caps, members read your post as shouting With regards to the two skimmers, they are two totally different skimmers. You really cannot compare the two. The BK 250 is close to like triple the price of a BM 250. Both skimmers work very well and will skim your tank. There are also several other options that you may want to consider. The main info we need is: What size tank? What size BK? What size BM? Whats your budget? Internal, or external? These are all questions that if answered, members will be able to chime in on and give you their opinion Good luck! Jim

Thanks Jim.
My current tank is 100 gallons. I am looking at the Mini Bubble King 160 and the Bubble Master 160. I will be putting the skimmer in a sump tank. I do believe in "you get what you pay for" and will always want the best. I am just wondering if the BK is worth $300-$400 more. Is there that big of a difference. thank you everyone for looking |

I just picked up a BK 160, pretty darn sweet (thread in Aquarium Specialty forum). I had the same question as you, BM 160 or BK 160, it was simple BK's where in-stock. If two things are close to equal, I'll take the one I can acutally get w/o standing around with my unit in hand for a few weeks
On a side note AS just lowered their price on a KZ-Cone Small to like 940, (it was liek 1146) if that had been done b4 I ordered the BK it would have been a 3rd option I'd have thought about for a bit... PW

I've got teh BK 180 Mini and so far haven't seen a skimmer that would be as simple, efficient and as small! It's worth the money!

I would check out the new ATB skimmers if I was you. I think this is going to be my next skimmer.
