gobies/cardnial/damsels/blennies??

Hi again!

so after researching these fish (thanks Seapug!) i found out that these would probably be better for me considering i'm a beginner and the fact that the tang idea didn't turn out good... but when these fish are kept together how many would be a good number for a 55g.

I'd probably target 4-5 royal-gramma-sized fish for that size tank. You'd need to narrow down your choices before we could help much.

i'd say the damsels are a no-no, unless you want fish to get nipped and be unhappy. Damsels are truely beautiful fish, but like some people in the world they just have a attitude problem.

I wouldnt go for damsels either, some blennies and gobies are best kept alone it really depends on the specific type you wanted.

i saw 1 damsel make two clowns jump out of a 70 gallon tank and into the over flow constently and they were the only fish in there. damsels are insaine although the chromis are not too bad

well now i've narrowed it down to the Kaudern's Cardinal, Spotted Cardinal, Neon-Blue Goby and a yellowhead jawfish.

That sounds fine. The blue goby fish are very small, I think. They might do well in a small pack, but I'm always forgetting.

so how many of the cardinals.. or the jawfish.. i dont want to get just one of them but don't want them to get too crowded

If you could find a mated pair of the kauderni, that might be fun. A pair of the spotted cardinal might be possible, too. I don't know much about that species. Then maybe the jawfish.
