Cleaning Filter
I have a freshwater tank (15g) that i am converting to SW and i am a bit tight for cash ATM and i was wondering if i soaked the filter from the FW tank in water and vinegar for a day or so would it be fine.

I wouldn't do the vinegar, the problem is going from salt to fresh not fresh to salt, just give your filter a good wash and cycle it in the new tank and you will be fine.

What's wrong with the vineger? My pumps get caked up with coralline, the only remedy I know is vineger. Works the same on the powerfilters I have on my freshwater tanks.
