skimmer question

had a tank 125 gallons up for 6 months,it cracked,had to replace,but used same water,took out some sand,have 15 smaller coral,2 tangs5 small chromis,3 small clowns ablenny,a purpl pseudo,anyway,im not making much skim,is this cause of the new tank?foam rises in cophalfway up cup if u count the part of clear tube you cant see,foam is rising 2 inches where it is visible?thoughts??

what kind of skimmer do you have ? sounds like you need to adjust the water level in it.

cant really tell without knowing your skimmer type, but with the amount of fish you have you should be getting skimmate.

how long has your skimmer been running?

its a tunze 9015,i just switched tanks,i dont think it runs on water level,its in sump,its inrequred water level

probably just not enough waste in the water to skim yet, and it might take awhile to get broke in.
