I use stealths for my larger FW tanks without any problems, but I use Visi Therm Deluxe 50W in my nano since its the shortest, reliable one I could find. I wanted a short one so I could stick it in my HOB fuge and get it out of the tank. But for both of them, I've had no problems at all. I could see the Deluxe being fragile, but its a non issue for me.

been using a hydor THEO and a Pro-heat. both are pretty nice but i wouldnt consider one or the other better... i dunno how u can really compare heaters besides in their reliability and durability. its not a piece of equipment to worry about. get a second thermometer to check the temperature at times though. heaters arent always accurate with their temps.

My personal method:
Whatever is not made in China with a temperature controller. Currently using a Ebo-Jager with a Aqua Medic temperature controller. I have both thermostats (heater and controller) set at the "same" setting. |
