few questions
I planned on getting powerheads for my 55 gal reef currently I have 2, but I am moving those into my RO/DI water holder once I get that set up.... can anyone recommend what kind and how many I should get?
I also plan to do the same with my current heater... can anyone recommend a good heater to use for my tank? |

Depending on what you're keeping in the tank will depend on how much flow you want/need. General rule is minimum of 20x's your tank volume. Some people go with 40 or more times.
Also, most people agree that it's better to have the flow divided among several...two or more power heads as opposed to all out of just one.

I would go with koralias or tunze. As far as heaters I think the visa stealth is pretty good cannot crack like glass or nothing. I am not happy with the rena-cal I bought. I have been told a ranco controller will make any cheap heater good.
