I second the Oceans Motions. Super easy to hide.

Depends on what you want to do and which product(s) your referring to.

Optimum water movement to best suit the SPSs. I don't really have a concern if there are visable pumps or not.

I had a sequence baracuda thru a OM 4-way on a 90G SPS tank.

The flow was way too direct from 3/4" outlets.

Lets just say I wont ever use a CL system again!

Thanks my suspision was the very direct water flow. So what do you think or recommend for an 80 gal SPS. Two vortecs with controller?

3/4" outlets should never be used on any CLS, especially a high flow one. thats not a fair way to set up a cls and then make judgements on it t hat all are going to be that way

smaller pipe/outlets = less flow/more velocity

larger pipe/outlets=more flow/less velocity

OM gets my vote. I hate looking at powerheads and love OM products. I run a 8 way and a hammerhead on my 90 gallon sps tank

either can do a great job for you........its all in how you set it up, if you are willing to plumb it, what you want to look at, and if heat and power consumption are an issue for you

I agree with flyyguy, if you want to put in the work and do all the plumbing, I think you can get rid of all your dead spots with great flow and hidden pumps using OM. But if you're lazy ...

My vote is Tunze! get the magnetic clips and you can put them anywhere! i'm going to get me some magnetic clips soon.

Have you done a lot of plumbing before? Is the tank drilled for a closed loop?

Tunze is much more "plug and play", and it can be moved within the tank, and offers a lot more options with the multicontroller.
