10 inch bristleworm
I found a 10 to 11 inch bristleworm in my sand, I have a 240 gl reef tank. I know they are beneficial to the sand but how big is to big before having to remove?

Leave it and hope it reproduces.

There is no size limit for harmless species. They stay harmless regardless of size. Large eunicids and Oenone are really the only large worms that need to be removed.

I have a couple of big ones in my 55. Not sure how big, or if they are ends of the same one, but my next purchase will be aqua-gloves!

Remember though, they only grow large like that when there is an overabundance of food available. You may, just may, be overfeeding the tank?
