How Much Rock?
I am starting up a fifty five gallon reef. Will 30-35 lbs. of rock be enough or should I get more? Also, is 60lbs. of sand okay?

If you are using your life rock for filtration, it takes about 1.25lbs of live rock per gallon, IMO

Also consider what type of fish if it is not a reef tank only you want to keep. A large fish may feel cramped with alot of rock not giving it enough room to swim.
