Mag 24 pump with AquaC EV-240 skimmer

I have an AquaC Ev-240 skimmer, and I'm trying to find a pump for it. AquaC recommends a Mag 12 or 18, but I've found a pretty good deal on a Mag 24. Does anybody know if I would be likely to encounter any problems using the Mag 24 with the EV-240 skimmer? Thanks.

I actually just went to their website and checked out the user manual. According to that, excessive flow can decrease the efficiency of the skimmer. I htink I'll keep looking for a mag 12 or 18.

get the Mag 18. It's good to have a big pump on this skimmer but the Mag 24 will overflow the skimmer even with the gate valve wide open. Well unless yours has the old 3/4" injector. It might be close if you have the 3/4" injector. If you have the 1" injector, there is nothing that will stop it from overflowing short of adding a gate valve to the pump output.
