new Live Rock
I got some Live rock from a friend that has been sitting in a bucket in his garage for a couple months. I plan on using it in my sump. It it OK to just put it in the sump or should I rinse it or boil it? He had aptasia problems & got all new rock. I figure the aptasia is dead by now, but some of the bacteria might still be in there. There are some cottony growths on it from the die off since its been in the bucket. what do you think?
I currently have around 150 lbs of rock & I'll be adding around 30 lbs to the sump wich has around 10 lbs now. Thanks – Joe |

should I just scrub, rinse, and leave it in a bucket of salt water for a couple weeks with a power head or something to let it cure?
