bubbles cause...Gate valve? Hammerhead?

Yesterday i started getting bubbles in the maintank...no plumbing changes....Is it possible for air to get into a gate valve? i see no water drippage....or could my Reeflo Hammerhead get an air leak and not leak water??? It has to be coming from some where!!

My thinking are 3 possible answers...gate valve stem, Hammerhead pump, or union fitting. Just to mention again, i see no water leaks at any connections.

Yes you can get an air leak without a water leak. Is this on a closed loop? If so you could try turning it off for a while to see if you see a leak and of course tighten up your unions.

Thank for the reply...no not closed loop....i am thinking of turning off the pump and put some the plumbing grease on the oring inside the union to see if that stops it. Maybe throw some on the gate valve post as well. I just hope it isnt the pump.
