400 w MH

Is a 400w MH too much light for a 75 gal and will it create too much heat?

400w would be good. For the heat issue, have a fan blow across the tank. This is good enough to lower the temp 3-5 degrees.

I personally think your pushing it with a 400w on a 75g. I had 2 400w's om my 120g and could not keep any softies or LPS, they just melted. I also beached out way more SPS then I would like to. I have changed out my lighting system to 2 250w's instead and I am glad I did.
