Powerbrite-LED-Lighting

http://www.petsolutions.com/12-Power...01643+C33.aspx

Anyone use these before?
See any affect they have on coral?
Actually see shimmer effect?

"Promotes strong and healthy coral, invertebrate and plant growth by replicating the dynamic natural qualities of sun"

Seems kinda like most products you can buy for your tank, they all say: " WILL INCREASE CORAL GROWTH BY 500% A DAY!!!!!

I personally haven't used them so just take this as a guess... It seems to me that LED might just be a fad going through. I mean they might be a pain to replace. Of course the people who have them are going to love them because these are the people who just want the latest and greatest. I'd wait a bit before you experiment... let someone else experiment

They are pretty much glorified night lighting. It will provide a bit of shimmer effect if you have pc lighting on a smaller tank. But in my honest opinion they are just brighter night lights. I used to have two of the units on my tank.
