Try mixing some juice from a jar of minced garlic with your usual food. Feed it to the fish. The Ich falls off in a few days.

if he is alrealdy in QT you can either try hypo or copper. hypo will prob. have less stress on the fish. the garlic will help it keep eating though but not proven to kill ich. yes it will fall off in a couple days but it will also come back stronger if not killed.

Fresh water dip would help provided the fish is strong enough to stand it. I dip my fish up to 5 minutes or until they start stressing badly.

Has worked in the past combined with great food and a QT tank.

This topic might help you with more ideas and the proper way to dip. It was written by Scott Fellman.

freshwater dip is fine for parasites on the skin/gills but totally useless for ich that is under the skin.

Hyposalinity or copper is the only solution.

I agree. I've run hypo and have never seen ich since. My roommate went the garlic method and ich comes back periodically.
