Help with Salifert Ca test
I am getting confused on Ca test. I put the water in tube, drop in one level scoop of ca-1, Then try to drop 8 drops Ca-2. I then mix and this is where I think my test goes haywire. Sometimes it mixes to the nice pink color and then I apply the drop fasion of Ca3 and wait for color change. But I then repeat test and when I do the mixing part the water turns dark purple and seems to turn some sort of blue way to early and am getting very different readings. Why sometime does it turn the pink, and other times purple.
Am I doing something wrong? It is only 6 months old by the way. Scott |

You need to add 1 drop then mix then add another drop and mix and whene it changes color you need then you need to see the level from the amount of drops you add.

No it is after the scoop of ca1 and 8 drops ca2 i am not getting the pink color to begin doing drop by drop analysis. I think something is haywire before step 3 as the water is dark purple.
And using 2 ml of water |

swirl for 10secs (DO NOT SHAKE) if you want more of an acurate reading there should be air bubble from 0.9 to 1.0 piston should be exacly at 1.0ml and liquid at 0.9 add and swirl repeat... once its clear blue stop i stopped aT /0.6 so my cA reading is 470 DAMN thast to HIGH! =\ lol.. |
