flatworms

years ago i had flatworms in my system. it's been over 8 years since i have seen any until now. guess i picked up some on a frag or coral i bought. when i originally had them i used flatworm exit and got rid of them no problem. now it seems i have 2 different kinds. the first are large and brown and the second are smaller and whitish. i have tried flatworm exit twice since i have seen them again with no success. seems to just reduce the numbers and then they come back. what else can i do to get rid of these critters?

some may survive the initial treatment, so I would do a follow up treatment, to kill the ones that are weaker. Plus siphoning as many out as you can prior to treatment will help.

There is also rumors of 6 lines eating them. But I haven't seen it.

has anyone tried keeping flatworms to supply a Blue Velvet Nudibranch? I love the idea of using nature to balance things by filling niches in the home aquarium

a follow up dosing of flatexit makes sense. what are their life cycle for eggs does anyone know. so i can dose the flatwormexit at proper intervels?
i have heard that sixline wrasses eat them also and i do have one but have yet to see it eat a flatworm. and as far as the blue velvet nudi goes i have not had much luck with nudis at all due to the flow i have and their fragile body. they get loose from a rock and sent to the overflow and then downstairs to get ground up by the pumps.

I got rid of mine with a 6 line wrasse. It was fun to watch him pick them off one by one. It didn't take very long andthey were all gone.
