Water Sensor for AquaController?
Does anyone know which Water on the Floor Sensor you are supose to/can use with the AquaController III?
2 External Switch Inputs The AquaController III comes equipped with 2 TTL level external inputs which can be used to activate/deactivate equipment in response to an external stimulus. Applications for these inputs include connection to water level float switches, water pressure and flow sensors, and water on the floor sensors. The AquaController III program can be set up to signal alarms or turn on/off appliances in the event of external switch open or closure. Any links would be great!

Anything that provides contact closure. Lowes has the water bug but the one I have has a 12 output so you need to connect it to a relay to provide the contact closure. There may be others tha just provide contact closure.

Neptune recommends the waterbug, as do I. I installed it a month or so ago. easy to install, and really good, already saved me once. the Mini-Din plug for the AC3 connection can be hard to find though, I would recommend ordering it online as well...get 2...they are cheap and easy to mess up when soldering the connections.

Only probes are plug and play everything else requires custom cables or a break-out.

sorry for the delay, about thye waterbug, there is a little work to it. You have to have a 12v AC or DC power supply ( I share the supply for my alarm system)
-On the waterbug itself there are screw terminals for power in, the sensors (2 wires each and can be piggybacked to utilize multiple sensors) and then three terminals for relay output, a common, a normally open and a normally closed contact ( use the common and normally open for the AC3) -these get hooked to the minidin for the digital input on the AC3 check with the netpune website for the appropriate pins. |

Thanks for the responses! I really appreciate it.
I guess one other thing, will I also want to purchase the alarm system by Neptune to go along with the sensor?
