cleaner shrimp how they work

Ok I finally fot my cleaner shrimp they are funny First question is can I mix shrimp I seen so many differtent ones and they are more fun to watch the two I have (cleaner shrimp) jump in the air when food goes by to catch it.

Now I see my flaming Angel continues to go over to them and lay sideways but only the Antena I guess they are (the long things) rub on the fish then he stays ther about 2 miutes swims away and comes back over and over Is that how they clean because I do not see the legs touch him just the long things rub over him which I call Antenna.

Now last question My lfs gave me mysosis shrimp instead of the usual brine shrimp is there a big difference? I notice that the fish did not realy go after it as much as they did the brine>

Your Angelfish is trying to get the shrimp to clean it, but they must not be "taking the bait" just yet. When they clean, they physically work the fish with their front legs.

Mysis shrimp are a much better food for your fish. Brine shrimp is dirty and is the nutritional equivalent of popcorn so it's not a good staple. If your fish are reluctant to go after the mysis, try mixing the two together. The mysis will get eaten in the feeding frenzy and you can eventually wean the fish off the brine.

you could also try adding garlic to the food to entice them more.
