crocea problem

I've had a crocea for about 4 or 5 years now that has been happy as a clam in it's location. All of a sudden, for the past week or so, it won't open up fully. I've never seen this before with this clam. Any suggestions?

Have you checked it for pyramid snails? Look around the mantle and around the base of the clam?
