4 way or 8 way
Been looking at ocean motion 4 way squirt system and ocean runner 6500 pump on closed loop. I am thinking about spliting each of the outlets to make it 8 way. Will this hurt the OM or the pump for any reason?

No. At least I don't think so. These things can handle lots of flow.

Just run a by-pass to the tank then you can leave the pump fully open and feed the extra flow to your tank

Splitting the outputs will not hurt anything. The effect will be a less pressure (lower velocity) at each of the output pipes.
The OM will likely handly the full flow of the OR6500 without having to valve the pump back or bypass the OM. |
