Angry coral meltdown

Can anyone help!? I have been set up since sep2007 I have a 450 litre tank 70kilo live rock, I have had a commet coral (think thats what its called} It has two heads sits at the top of my pinnicles has been there for the last 4months,with no probs all water parameters are as follows ph 8.3 alk 8 nitrite 0 nitrate 10 phosphate 0 calc 400 mag1400 salinity 102.5 suddenly one of the heads has sent out loads of mucus and seems to be disintergrating, can anyone help :

even though nitrate at 10 is not bad, really you should be aiming for 0 especially considering your tank is 5 months old, hey horsey what else have you got in the tank and can i see a picture of the comet corral as i have not heard this name before, it is probably common but still i have not heard it before

I believe that is 10 phosphate and that can make a difference on coral health--opps sorry you are right and your comment is too

what is the coral beside that might be stressing it?

Current Tank Info: 150gal long mixed reef, 90gal sump, 60 gal refugium with 200 lbs live rock

hey capn you are an experienced reefer, look on reef chemistry at my thread and help me with my magnesium problem, (sorry horsey but when the capn or bertoni are on line we need to take advantage)

I don't think the coral name is correct--anyone have a clue?
