Status of the Georgia Aquarium

Anyone around here or in Atlanta know of the status of the Georgia Aqarium? Did it hit the aquarium?

from what I gathering it hit the dome, and a lot of building have glass damage. not picking up anything on the aquarium

isn't the aquarium like a block away from the dome?

yeah, i wish they would say something about it. the mayor is speaking in 5 minutes, maybe she will say something. certainly if centennial park, cnn, and georgia dome are so damaged so id the aquarium. i'm worried about the animals too. hope this won't stop me from going to atlanta this weekend.

Did I miss something, what might have hit the aquarium?

Nevermind, a visit to the lounge answered that.

a big storm or a tornado ripped through the area, even shut down the college basketball games. Apparently the Georgia dome has holes in it now.

OMG! what a nightmare, can you imagine having a 165,000 gallon reef tank and having all your axillary power shut down and being limited to nothing but primary pumps on generator back up!? Not to mention the 6.5 million gallon whale shark tank!

I sure hope it didn't wipe out their power, I bet it's going to be a long night at work for everybody either way!

Or what if it busted out some of that starfire glass sunroof!? OMG!

not only that. the pressure from the tornado cause the pipes to burst. they were showing water rushing down stairs.

the news just said that the aquarium was not harmed in any way and all the fish are just fine. makes you think someone was looking over all the fishies.
