Welcome to RC.
You might have to fit it in from the top,or the back.

I have not built the stand yet, ive looked around the net, but no one so far that i saw used just a large sump... im just looking for a simple diy stand project.. The stand I have now will not allow anything under it.... I had it as a fresh water system, not needing a sump... Now that I converted, I have to start all over

Yeah, I going to build it myself, I also think i would like the tank to be removeable aswell... I might make the stand longer to store all the extras underneith so my little guy doesnt get in the chemicals and stuff.... But I just dont want something too huge that takes up all the room

Chilid guy think what you need draw it out with strenth in the corners and in the middle. think about it you need four legs to support the weight either 2x4 or 4x4 the second is more than likely over kill. and I would put 3/4 inch ply wood on top where the tank will sit. Then once you have support build the fascia to hide everything.

yeah ive been doing some reading and everyone seems to be making it from 2x4's and some doubled.. im going to build it overkill forsure, Im just trying to figure out a way to have my 65g under it but able to remove it if something happens.... The trouble is that my protein skimmer and all the goodies i have are rather tall. I just dont want the display stand to be 6' tall
