New tank questions

I will be buying a used 93 Gallon Bow Front Corner and need some advise on the better location to place it:

location 1 -- one side would be above the baseboard heater, but a good foot from drafty windows.
location 2 -- one side would be within a couple inches of drafty windows.

I am having the LFS store move and set the tank up, and can wait to ask them but want to be ready when the tank arrives.

Also comments or suggestions on the current setup setup and/or live stock suggestions is appreciated.

Current setup:
80 lb live rock
Fluval 304
coralife 2x96w PC
1 Yellowtail Blue Damsel
1 lionfish(will be traded into the store as part of the move)

I plan to add a couple fish, and a cleaning crew for now, but if the wallet allows it I would like to eventually add some coral.

Thanks in advance -- Joe

my 2 cents:

It's always easier to heat the tank than it is to cool it down. The lights plus the heaters should keep your tank warm enough. You don't need to get into buying a chiller if you don't have to. Only a thought. Others will chime in I'm sure.

Although, you may run into a situation where it's too warm in the summer by the window....so think about that as well.

but for the price of a good heater you could probably have the window fixed as well. Or at least put the plastic wrap over it

I agree. I would rather it be next to drafty windows rather than than the heater. But it probably doesn't matter that much either way. I'm assuming your heater isn't going to be on in the summer when your tank risks getting hot anyway.

the only other problem i see is if it is too near the window, in the summer months natural light even though welcome at times could flood the tank with algae, especially if the sun is shining on hot days and if the window gets left closed the build up of heat could boil the tank, i agree with imcos it is hard to cool a tank
