I just added a U/V sterilizer. It was very easy to set. Just do not look directly into the U/V bulb. I can cause cataract. Both are excellent equipments.

IMO I think U/V is great to have for certain short term type things, like algae blooms or something like that, but other then that I've never found it necessary to run full time. If you do get one make sure you keep the bulb cleaned, have a flow rated for the equipment & keep track of how old the bulb it. Its my understanding that UV bulbs lose their effectiveness fairly quickly and need to be replaced. IMO I would say if you were only going to run one, Ozone would be my choice. It might cost a little more up front (either a unit with a build in ORP monitor/controller or a separate monitor/controller) but once you have it setup there is less maintenance; aside from the air dryer (if you use one), they may need to be recharged often.
