CL intake in sump?

Is it a good idea to have the intake for my closed loop in my sump?? Right now it is about 4 " below the surface in my DT. I am not sure why I put it there, and if it will work in the sump than that would mean one less piece of plumbing in my DT! It would also be about 1-2" higher than the pump itself (if it were in the sump)

Then it's not a CL, just another sump return.

Also think how it would be plumbed, if the power went out would your display drain back through the pump to your sump?

not only that, but will your drain be able to handle both pumps?
