Prolly not a bad first fixture or start out fixture. Just keep in mind, in lighting components, you get what you pay for. Prolly better to look on RC, craig's list or ebay for a reputable lighting manufacturer. Look under the product review section. Take a look at the MFR's that are sold on Marine Depot to get an idea of good/better lighting hood manufacturers.

Its just a odyssea fixture. You'll have to replace the ballasts from the get go. So tac on another 250bux.
