cleaning a used tank
This past winter i picked up a drilled 75g used. eventually i want to convert my existing 75g to it.
but its DIRTY. I have scrapped the sides for the most part.. Whats the best way to clean it? I was thinking filling it and adding some bleach with a PH for a day... draining it and repeating.. finally give it a good rinse with the hose and let dry.. Then use some RO water and give a good rinse. any other recommendations? |

That should do the trick. Sounds good.

You could try some viniger, it will break down any calcium deposits.

vinegar will clean it very well. even hard coraline algae. plus if you have any pumps not being used or other equipment toss it in there as well and it will serve two purposes. good luck.

Heard you should run ro w/ a dechlorinater after using bleach to make sure any chlorine is removed.
