Anyone else having probs w/ reeflo?
Ok, after usual tons of research here b4 doing anything I decided to go w/ a dart for my loop.
I bought dart#1 10months ago. On startup it was REALLY noisy, in fact when I called marine depot(place of purchase) the girl said she could barely hear me w/ all the background noise, was I on a construction site or something. Marine depot gave usual great CS, and replaced it right away. 4-5 months later, I see salt creep on dart #2 at point of seal. They send me a seal kit and say fix it myself(which is odd because another reefer in my local club had bad seal at 10 mo and they sent a replacement dart) On replacement of seal, directions say to check impellar/hub motor shaft, and as I did I saw alot of rust. I contacted reeflo, and they say I need to speak w/ a rep, who will call back w/in 15 minutes. 2hrs go by, no call, so I call back, answering machine.(keep in mind tank is shutdown while waiting for reply) 2 more hrs go by, I call again, finally get rep, and he tells me put back together and see what happens. I put back on, and now dart #2 won't push water, and motor gets so hot you can't touch it. Reeflo is now closed for the day, so I leave a message. Next day I wait till 11:00 for reply(keep in mind they are 2hrs ahead) I call again, and another 4hrs b4 call back. Rep apologizes, and makes a deal that I can drive to marine depot for another replacement. I drive an hour and a half each way(I'm OK w/ this, gets me going faster than shipping which they did offer) and when I get home and open box of dart #3 the volute is cracked at seam! I call reeflo and they apologize saying they got a bad batch of volutes, this is Friday, they say I'll have a new volute by Tuesday. Tues comes and goes, no volute. I call this morning at 8:00 and the girl says she'll check tracking and call right back. I wait here an hour and a half, no call, so I call back, and a new girl starts giving me total attitude, says I'm being a pain, HANGS UP ON ME! Now that was 11:00 my time, it is now 1:30, and no call, no e-mail, and my last 2 calls went straight to voice mail. I can't believe this, I thought reeflo was supposed to have good CS. Anyone else have issues w/ them?

Never tried a Reeflo pump, but I gotta say, that's crappy man. Everyone I know who has used them seems happy.

You know, I run a business myself, and understand things happen that are sometimes out of your control.
I also have friends in the reef biz, and understand that overseas manufacturing can't alway be overseen, and sometimes parts are switched out to cheaper materials w/ out notice. But they CAN control CS, and a simple phone call return shouldn't be so difficult, and if replacement of NON- DEFECTIVE parts are not available, just tell me. I can usually borrow from someone in my reefclub. But sitting here w/ tank apart, thinking I'm about to get a call or replacement soon is what urks me. This just happened to come after a forced tank swap from a seam failure, and I KNOW better than to put tank/livestock back w/ out testing new plumbing first. I lost livestock due to this delay, stuff I've had 6yrs now, gone. I'm being pretty cool about this, not rude, no cussing, yelling, nothing. No reason for girl to get mad and hang up on me at all, and then not take my calls.
