DSB releasing bubbles?

what could this be from? the dsb is about 5 months old and eems to be releasing bubbles quit often. You can also see bubbles from the side about 1" deep. Can anyone shed some light?

It's called denitrification. The DSB is releasing nitrogen gas. Harmless gas. It's the end result of the nitrification process. It bubbles out at the surface of the water.

You're doing good. Don't worry about it.
