Leasing a Co2 tank

I just contact BOC Canada.

http://www.boc-gases.com/

I can lease a Co2 tank from them for $67.05 / year. I am still trying to find out what comes with the Co2 tank.

This seems like a pretty cheap alternative to buying it. If anything goes wrong you just take it back and get another one!

It does not come with anything but the tank and a regular valve.

Refill cost is $33.90.

That is a rip. I bought one new for not much more than that (10 lbs) and fill it for $15.00 ($13.00 if I bring two or more)

The best prices I have seen in Canada for a 10lb is $160.00 + tax + shipping + large item shipping.

I can't comment on the refilling cost.

In IA you can put a deposit on a tank for like $200 and then it's like $15 to exchange it for a full one. When your done with it you can return it for the $200.

call a few local welding shops and ask them how much to buy a 5# or 10# tank. i got mine for $70 filled and $15 for refills. most places dont refill while you wait they just take the empty and give you a full one so you dont have to worry about anything going wrong with the bottle because your always getting one that was just inspected

I got a 10lb cylinder that I'm about to use.

this saturday we had a guy over from the gas company to refill a keg-orator for a party. he say my calcium reactor co2 cylinder and then tried to tell me its illegal to have a cylinder that is not serviced by the gas company. he told me I need to return it and get the leased kind you are talking about.

Dont know if I believe him, I have a feeling he is full of it and unless somebody can tell me otherwise then I'm just going to manage it myself.

This is what I want.

Just like you do with propane tanks for the BBQ.
