Sea Swirl question

I want to run 2 sea swirls on my returns for a 180 gallon tank. (replacing the lame locline). My question is, what size do I want?? I am looking at a ReeFlo Snapper Pump, 2400 GPH for my return pump (which by the way is only rated for 75-150 gallon tanks??? They reccomend the Dart which is 3600 gph for my size tank???)

The ReeFlo Snapper Pump has a 1.5 inch outlet but the sea swirls I see for sale are 3/4 inch. With this pump being able to be 'dialed back' and also having to push water to my refugium...could this work?

Thank you!

??

How is a 3600gph Dart external pump recommended for a 180? That just sounds like WAY too much to me.

What external pumps are you all with 180's using?

I, personally, would not run sea swirls for a return as they do have a limit of gph (different for each size, if I remember correctly). I run two on my 180 and have a closed loop running them. A better way to go, IMO.
