Chiller Install
Hi,
Is it OK to install a in-line chiller on the return line to the main tank from the sump? Would this be too cold for the main tank? Thanks Ed |

I think it would reduce its affect. I would get it in a lower flow area.

I am using a aquanetics afc 2 and the flow rate recommended by the manufacture (400 to 800gph)is about right on with the return line to the display. I was worried about shooting cold water in main tank.
Thanks Ed |

Is it 400 or 800.Then length and return heads reduce this amount. Adding this will only reduce its flow even more.

I am using a genx-4 return pump (up 8' across 8' using 2- 3/4" lines). Just worried about cold water hitting corals.
Thanks Ed |
