Icecap Overdrivbe?

I have two Icecap 660 ballast powering 4 3ft bulbs(39watts)..each ballast powering 2 bulbs ofcourse. Is this "overdriving" the bulbs? if so, by how much apporximately????

Yes, it is. An Icecap will overdrive a 39W bulb to approx. 60W I believe. One Icecap can overdrive up to 4x 3ft bulbs if I remember correctly.

So instead of 39 watts Im getting 60 out of each bulb? Does it make the bulb last any less?

it will make them last less because they get quite hot that way, the trick is to keep them cool to max life

Yup. But it doesn't impact their life a lot. Just keep them cooled well.

I have a 660 ballast running 4 -2' 24w bulbs..what would they be running at for wattage?

For the 660 ballast just use the standard rule of thumb, 16 total feet of lamp length. With that said, it will run 4 of all listed bulbs except the 60 inch bulbs in which it will run only 3 of them. It will overdrive the lamps by approximately 40-45%. So take the wattage of the lamp and add that percentage to it.
So a 39W bulb is approx. 55-57watts and a 54W is approx. 77-78watts according to Icecap.
