Question Spraybar above DSB to keep it clean?

I'm considering using flow above a DSB to keep detritus off it. It's necessary for my planned wrasses, but I want to keep it clean. I'm building a bed to contain the sand in with pvc to keep it away from the glass, to allow maximum scraper access across the viewing pane.

To keep detritus suspended, or up, should I use a spraybar and/or Tunze Stream pointing upward above the sand?

Thanks for the input...

I'm doing it in my 150. Still haven't posted any pics of it but it goes this way:
I have a partition for CL pumps behind the partition for the overflow. in that partition I have three holes for water return from the tank and the lower one sucks water a bit above the sand. also I have a hole without any screen on it and have a spraybar going out of it a bit higher than the sand and an Eheim powerhead suppling it with around 300 GPH. It blows water up from behind the rocks so I'm hoping it will create an upward lifting current behind my rockwork and blow up any detritus instead of having it accumulate. If in the future this does not look enough I could alwys increase the powerhead size or maybe add another powerhead pushing water through a tube parallel to the sand. Check out my build thread I should be describing this when I add the powerhead to the spray bar nex week and will post pics of it.

it's tough to keep low flow with a DSB without making a mess. i have two of the returns from my CL on the back glass about 4" above the sand, with 1" penductors blowing right into the rock work. that does the trick for me.
