using a peristaltic pump with a calcium reactor and other CR qus
I have an aquamedic dosing pump spare and would like to use it on a calcium rector as the feed pump, It is fixed at 60 ml per minute, but I can change the dosing rate by putting it on a digital timer. Does the rector have to be fed constantly (a schran pico for example.) or can it be given water every other minute or so.
also I have a hanna ph probe to read the effluent but cannot connect it to the CO2 valve for shut down, can I do this manually would it be annoying?

I think that it could be done by dosing the effluent every minute or so, but I am running my Aquamedic doser constantly on my calcium reactor. Different reactors, different needs.
Im pretty sure Hanna testers do not have the capability to shutdown devices due to a reading. You would need a pH controller to do that. |
