Precision marine bullet-1 help needed
Ok, so I got a PM bullet-1, and could not find a mag 12, so I bought a catalina CA-4000. This pump does ~1300 GPH at 0 head pressure. Anyhow, I did as the set-up instructions said, and got it all working on Wednesday evening. The water level is just about 1" above the Grey base, and I have good bubble production. The sump water level is about 1-2" below the top of the grey box, but the return elbow returns the water above the water line in the sump. For the first day, nothing happened. Last night (thursday), there was s decent amount of foam in the chamber (highest point reaching about 2 inches below the top of the rector chamber). still this morning, no foam or anything has made it into the neck of the collection cup . the chamber is starting to turn a shade of brown where the foam is, but it is never getting to the collection cup.
any suggestions? is it still breaking in? how long does that take? |

Do you have a gate valve on the return from the skimmer? I have the same skimmer and I have to adjust the back pressure to get the water level where it needs to be to either be a wet skim or a dryer skim like you are talking about.
Also make sure if you are not getting the quantity of bubbles clean the becket. Not sure if this helps, but it works for me. Andy |
