Radiums 20k DE?
Does the radiums 20k DE bulb exist? If so where can I get one?
If not is there a 250w DE bulb that compares to it? |

I use 250 watt DE Helios and love them. Supposed to be real close to a Radium.

Where is the best place to get the 250w DE Helios? Does anyone have a picture of them on their tank?

A radium 20K is definitely not bluer let alone alot bluer than a Phoenix!

kdblove is right about Helio being blue, I just switched from 400watt XM20K to Helio running on Blueline eballast, Helio is too blue to my taste while the XM20K burns just like Radium, crisp white with hint of blue. But Sanjay's PAR analyst on 20K version of Helio vs. XM is 119 and 91 respectively, but Helio looks dimmer to me. I ordered 2 Lumatek ballasts from Marine Depot and expect to receive them by early next month, will see if Lumateks perform better using Helio.

yeah, i think the xms are the next closest to the 20k other than the pheonix 14k..... but i really like the look of the 14k pheonix better than the 20k xm.... but i am a definate fan of the 20k radiums....... i run 2 400 watt 20k radiums, and caant find another se bulb that compares with the pop, the growth, and astetic look of the radiums.... others eother are too blue, too slow of growth, or make my corals seem dull while others pop excessively... the radiums are the best bulb imo

Looking at the radium for a ricordea only tank with no actinic supplementation. Want the colored rics to fluoresce. Is the radium a good choice?
