Who uses Aquaconnect bulbs?
I got a set of these used to try them out and like the look of them but had a couple questions for those that use them.
a.) How long do they last? I've used bulbs in the past that shifted or lost par after only 4-6 months. b.) How is your growth with this bulb? I'll be switching from Reeflux 10k's which according to Sanjays website are very close to these Aquaconnects (difference of 2 ppfd) in terms of intensity. I have a LUX meter that agrees with those figures. |

I would think it would last 12-18months.
I have always wanted to try this bulb also but the $115 price tag has kept me from doing so |

i ran them for 18months+ on icecaps and when i replaced one the difference was not that noticeable. I'd say easily a year+ and maybe as long as two years

Thanks, that's what I was hoping for. These bulbs look awesome, just a little bit of blue. Nothing like a Hamilton 14k.
Twon8; What type of growth rate did you see out of your SPS with these bulbs? |

great growth, hard to measure but i've grown many frags into good sized colonies under these bulbs.

I have mine running on Ice Cap 250s. I love them. Great color and growth.

115 for a bulb is too expensive. I'd prefer Giesemann for that price.

M80 is recommended but as you can see, people are also using electronic. I currently have one running on an M80 and the color is just a tad bit whiter than an XM 10k or a Reefux 10k. Not much blue to my eyes.
