Any problem feeding cheato to tangs?
I just removed a large amount from my fuge and decided to put a wad in the algae clip. My tang and rabbitfish are enjoying it but I want to be sure it won't cause any problems.

It makes my tangs poop stringy. That's about it.

If you are growing the cheato for nutrient export, harvesting it and feeding it to your fish will re-release the nutrients back into your tank and be counter productive.

Whats the difference between feeding the tangs chaeto vs. standard pellets or nori? no matter what they're going to produce waste and that waste is going to turn into nitrates. might as well just feed them the chaeto and save a little money on food. Unless for some reason feeding chaeto makes the fish produce more waste, |

Thanks all.

I've notice a difference that I like though. When I put a sheet of Norri in the clip they attack it until it's gone. With the cheato...they have been casually grazing on it for the past several hours. I don't know what difference this makes but it just seems more natural to me.

They will look like they are pooping worms in a day or two. Don't be alarmed.
