red slime remover making my msx 200 go nuts!

Ok so I added some red slime remover and forgot to turn off my skimmer and when I got home the next gay there was a little puddle on the floor. I have done a water change, added new carbon, and even a poly filter but my skimmer is still going nuts! Its been 3 days, what should I do?

Large water changes and large amounts of fresh activated carbon.

You shouldn't be using a Skimmer, polyfilter, Carbon, or doing water changes while using the Slime Remover.

You're just pulling it right out before it has a chance to work and wasting your money. Let it be for about a week and feed VERY lightly, the Slime Eraser should start breaking down on it's own, and then skimming, polyfilter, carbon, and water changes would be appropriate.

I've used the redslime remover a couple of times and what has worked best for me was:

Turn off your skimmer.
Adding the remover, 1/2 - 3/4 of the recommended dose.
Wait for 3 days or till all red slime is gone.
Do a large water change, I do 45 gal for my 155 gal tank,
then wait a couple of more days, do another large water change.
Only then I turn on the skimmer. It still goes nuts and I have to turn the air intake to the skimmer way back, adjusting more air each day till it's back to normal.

next time if you do this again, if your skimmer has a water height
level, lower it till you get less water in your cup & if it had a drain
drain it out & let it run & add saltwater as needed to your
tank. it took me 20ga. in a 120 ga tank if i remember correctly. of course you do have to monitor the situation periodically
