Is there any reason I can't place a phosban reactor in-sump?

Is there any reason I can't place a phosban reactor in-sump? It is in the return chamber and is being fed by a maxijet 400 that is located between the baffles; effluent is draining into the return chamber.

Here's how I've got it, the chamber I've got it in doesn't get higher than the level of the output; that being said, I don't see any reason why the output shouldn't/couldn't be submerged.

Or you could attach the reactor to the top of the sump glass if you have space
