Help with picking a Calcium Reactor

Hello, I have a 120 gal, mixed reef tank and am interested in getting a Calcium Reactor for because I seem to be finally doing well with my sps corals. I have been checking out quite a few and I like the GEO 612 or 618 if anyone has had experience with these unit's or can make recommendations it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..

There's really not much to them, most reactors are the same. I have a GEO-624 that I bought used from a guy in my club. Had I bought it new I would have been really ticked off after realizing that it's nothing more than some Home Depot PVC fittings and an acrylic tube. There are some companies that claim to have a more effiecient reactor (Korallin, Schuran) but I can't see there being much of a difference. What I'm trying to say is that it's a simple design that doesn't vary much from brand-to-brand. If I were to buy a new reactor I would pick up an Octopus which seems to be a 1/2 price version of the GEO.

I am going to be honest. I picked up a corallife for my soon to be frag tank. I used a Geo on my main tank. The soon to be frag tank has been up and running for about a month now. I checkedd the calcium level and alk on that tank this morning and the coralife has maintained the 430 calcium and 11 alk for a complete month now. When I initially set the tank up, I set calcium at 400. I bought the 250 version for 80$ used. No leaks and has ran consistant. I would be willing to try the 500 version. You can always sell it but I am witness, they do work.

Had a K2r and a Koralin calcium reactor, not very consistent, with drip rate, Bad design. Switched over to GEO no issues, set it and foget about it!!
