what are you using for your fuge light?

What are you using for a fuge light. I want to grow some cheato in my new set up and want to see what others are using.

If your fuge is not under your tank I would use a cheap quartz halogen light. It is not recommended for indoor use since it throws a lot of heat off. If you are careful as I am you will have great fuge light for $20.

At home I use florescent lights and it is not as good.

Good question LOTUS, I need the answer too. My sump is under my tank so I cant use too hot of a light. Any other suggestions?

I use a clip-on light with a plug and a metal reflector that I bought at Home Depot for $9. It is made for temporary construction lighting, and I think it is near the extension cords. The bulb is a 120V 6500K floodlight.

I use four 7020GL ($9.99 at Wal-Mart) zip-tied together, but I swapped out the bulbs for 18W GE Aqua Rays Fresh and Salt Aqua (10,000K) that you can get at Lowes for $6.

i run a single 65w CF light with 10k bulb. had it laying around so thought i might as well use it.

i use a small powercompact that i have no need for. it also helps me throw excess xenia and softies in there to keep them alive until i can get them mounted and sold.
