RO filters not lasting long at all, is my membrane dead?

I have a purpley H2o RO/DI unit, lately I have found my filters are not lasting at all. I've made less then 100g of water and already my TDS is 19 (up from 0) I am thinking it has to be the membrane but why does changing the filters return output to 0 for a short time.

Unit is about 1.5 years old and I make about 10-20 gallons a week on average.

If you'll give us a little more information we can help you.

What are your tds readings of:
1. Tap water
2. RO water, and
3. DI water (you already reported 19 ppm above)

What is your pressure?
