Overflow Help

I am having a 60 gallon tank built and am wondering how big the drain/return holes should be. I was thinking like 1.5 inch drain hole and two .75inch return holes. Does that sound right?

IMO I would go with a 1" drain and a 3/4" return.

Well I want to have two return holes. One on each end for more flow direction.

so make 2-3/4" returns or 2-1/2" returns you really don't need more than 600gph going through the overflow. any more than 5-10x turnover through the sump and it takes away the effectiveness of the filtrations equipment you have in the sump.
