Skimmer not Skimming...Why?

Hey all,

I have a precision marine bullet 1 skimmer on my tank that is not skimming. I have had it on there for a couple months now, and it was workign fine, but in the last 2 days, it isn't working.

It is in sump. Hooked up to a mag 12. And as I said, worked great until a couple days ago. I took it apart and cleaned the injector and everything, and hooked it back up, and it still isn't working.

The water level in the chamber is fine, and the air mixture with the water looks the same as it always has, but basically, it iw producing no foam. The bubbles are not climbing the column at all.

anyhow, I really don't know what to do. I don't have a lot of time to tinker with it. I am having wrist surgery tomorrow, so I will be losing the use of my right hand, so hopefully it is something simple.

Thanks in advance

they can take a few days to start producing foam after a serious cleaning. If you're going to be away for a couple days, I'd just set it up as you had it and let it be for a few days, except maybe lower the water level a little for flood insurance.

I've noticed whenever I put my bare hands in the tank, the skimmer stops skimming. The oils on your skin and stuff. Also, for sure after a major cleaning, mine takes a day or so to start foaming again.
