Phosban reactor and Chaeto

Will a phosban reactor kill off the chaeto in my fuge?
My sump is configured raw tankwater>skimmer>fuge>return. Where is the best place to feed the reactor and have it return to?
Thank you!

I wouldn't run a phos reactor and chaeto. The GFO is pretty efficient and will remove most of the phosphate, leaving very little for your Chaeto. The result will be that the Chaeto stops growing or dies. When I was running both, I actually got an outbreak of cyano--turns out the cyano was outcompeting everything for what little phosphate remained. Removed the phos reactor, and siphoned all cyano . . . no more cyano and Chaeto started growing again.

I'm starting a phos reactor and I currently have a fuge, I'm going to plum it on the section after the refugium so that the cheato gets the first shot at the phosphate.

I think cheato and reactor would be fine together although many people here are more experienced then I. I will post my own experience when I do this in the upcoming weeks.

A little GFO use with macroalgae is fine. Too much will slow its growth. More still can kill it from lack of nutrients.

I am about to hook up a phosban as well, i wondered about it and macroalgea. On my setup i feed my fuge via gravity from a drain line, and then gravity back into the sump and then up the return. Is there any way i can run phosban without screwing with the chaeto?
Or would i be defeating the purpose of phosban or macroalgea.?

My tank is pretty low on Nutrients.

I feed every other day, and I only have 3 small fish in my 90 gallon.

The Chaeto in my fuge was wiped out from my GFO reactor. Not really a big deal, the stuff is easy enough to get from local people. Once I get some more fish in there I'll plan on Chaeto again in the future.
