Cleaning Instructions for an OM Squirt

I just bought a used OM Squirt, and was wondering if any other owners could give any tips/advice on cleaning the thing? Looks like I can just remove the Synchron motor and dissolve all the calcification on the housing and drum in vinegar, what I am more concerned about is whether it needs any kind of lubricant on re-assembly.

I tried asking on Oceans Motions forum, but couldn't register...

Thanks in advance for any help,
Jake
